Un film già di per se, approderà “presto” nelle nostre sale cinematografiche!
Ho appena letto la notizia e già non sono più nella pelle! Ma bando alle ciance.. riporto qui sotto quanto annunciato ben 2 giorni fa dalla BioWare:
“Crhis Prietsley – BioWare’s Community Coordinator
I am very pleased this morning to announce that there will be a Mass Effect movie made by the fine folks at Legenday Pictures! I know there has been a lot of speculation amongst our fans ever since Mass Effect 1 came out as to whether or not there would be a movie, who should star in it, who would direct, would there be a Wrex sized bucket of popcorn, etc and I can now reveal that, yes, there will be a movie (popcorn deal is still unconfirmed.
Legendary Pictures, the studio behind great films such as The Dark Knight, Watchmen, The Hangover and 300 have picked up the rights to make Mass Effect. Legendary Pictures will produce with Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni along with Avi Arad (who has been behind great films like Iron Man, X-Men and Spider-Man). From BioWare Ray Muzyka, Greg Zeschuck and Casey Hudson will serve as executive producers.
“At BioWare, we’ve always thought of Mass Effect as having the depth, emotion and plot twists perfectly suited for an adaptation to a motion picture,” said Casey Hudson, executive producer of the Mass Effect series. “With Avi Arad and Legendary attached, we believe that the Mass Effect movie will be an extraordinary entertainment event that realizes our vision for the franchise and thrills fans.”
I am super psyched for this and look forward to seeing the Mass Effect movie take shape.

Quindi a farla breve, coloro che ci hanno portato The Dark Knight con quel Joker fantastico, Watchmen, The Hangover! (Una Notte da Leoni), 300 (THIS IS SPARTAAAAAA!!!), contornati da spiccate personalità come Avi Arad, assieme alla BioWare, ci trasporranno su grande schermo Mass Effect?? :D
E’ un sogno.. e come tanti sogni cela una certa paura.. e sta paura fa nasce una speranza.. speranza che non sia una cagata.. ma mi voglio fidare!! Finora la BioWare non mi ha MAI deluso, e vedendo i film in cui sono stati coinvolte le persone sopracitate, non penso che mi deluderanno nemmeno loro :D
Stay tuned! Appena ne so di più, ve lo farò sapere :D e nel frattempo, che l’hype cresca!!!

Diciamo che l’idea di un film ispirato ad un videogioco non mi esalta più, visti i numerosi fiaschi da sempre prodotti. Però, considerando le menti che lavoreranno a questo prodotto, mi sento di poter stare quasi tranquillo! Spero solo che siano fedeli al videogioco, e non che creino qualcosa che non c’entra un cazzo di niente!
Esatto.. quello è il mio unico timore.. ma visto l’occhio vigile della BioWare e le menti dietro al film, mi sento abbastanza tranquillo :D
Beh, diciamo che mi è già capitato di leggere che tale tizio, designer di tale gioco, collaborò per creare tale film, e si rivelò comunque uno schifo.
Ma i ragazzi di Bioware sono gente su cui contare, e considerando il tuo amore per gli RPG Ameriga, comprendo pienamente il tuo Hype!
Io AMO gli RPG della BioWare :P non è tanto una distinzione di genere (JRPG / American RPG) quanto una preferenza per una software house che ha sempre mantenuto altissime le aspettative da 10 anni sonati! Se non di più :P
Purtroppo, quando il budget diventa troppo grosso (quindi nel 101% dei film hollywoodiani) tutte le scelte artistiche e creative vengono tranciate dalla scure del bilancio e quindi dalla produzione, che vuole vedere un ritorno economico sicuro, di fronte ai cospicui investimenti fatti.
C’è anche da dire che Mass Effect ha le potenzialità per diventare un ottimo film di fantascienza, tutto sta nel vedere quanto bravi saranno gli sceneggiatori a mantenere la storia nell’ambito del brand esistente ma senza darle un’impostazione troppo da videogame.
Più che di Bioware, preferisco fidarmi di Legendary Studios poiché stiamo parlando di un film e sono loro gli esperti in campo cinematografico, senza contare che il curriculum di questi signori è di ottimo livello.
Non si sa nulla dell’uscita?
Io sto ancora aspettando il film di Halo! :D
No ancora non si sa nulla.. ma io spero sempre che tutto vada per il meglio :D
Per il film di Halo.. boh.. han fatto Halo Legends? :P
